The late, great Terry Pratchett said that when creating a fictional city, you had to start with its sewage system.
When he first built the roads, digging them down in the inefficient Roman style etc, I assumed he was going to work on the sewage and water systems first. But nope. Then he started building the high rises and I thought, ok, waste management will be a thing now. But nope there, too.
Then when I see the waste removal system he designed and I have to facepalm. I find it odd that such a genius engineer doesn’t understand even the bare minimum. For me, this is the second biggest weakness in the story. Following only the total lack of character growth. Seriously, he is like a bug in amber.
I’m actually enjoying the construction
It’s kinda weird because he’s got any type poison immunity so tf he’s gonna die like that from that disease? I know cholera isn’t a poison but it’s quite logic that if u’re immune to any type of poison it means and protection from some diseases

Big brain time
Um… Cholera wasn’t just because the water froze.
It’s there all the time with big populations. Every 10 years London would lose 10% of its population to Cholera. Just, constant cycles of plague.
As long as your drinking from the same water you p**p in. Like how the British had a few cases of cholera during a big storm, their sewers overflowed into the ocean, infected a few oysters, and then infected a few people in Norway who ate the oysters.
By the time he’s able to live a comfortable life he’s going to be old

this gives me a question. so did all this actually happen in a seperate universe or is that just a future sight. besides that if he actually managed to send a message back does that mean he actually died. also what happens to the javier that is in the future??
