So if I got it right this MC wasnts to have a 0 mana reserve, but the ability to instantly use mana from the surroundings, effectively giving him unlimited mana as long as the area he’s in has it.

way too close to mushoku tensei. with his mom being a cleric and his dad being a swordsman. even the light banter is the same like with the last chapter having the mom use healing magic to show the MC that magic exists and this chapter had the mom and dad debating on whether ray should be a magician or a swordsman. I might be reading into it too much but there are too many similarities

This set-up sounds almost word-for-word like Mushoko-Tensei, but without a creepy degenerate like Rudeus Greyrat as the MC. Liking it so far.
