By default shouldn’t he not applicable to partaking in the succession? Like his standing in the Holy kingdom is among, if not the highest right now, he is not a native of this kingsom, he is not in the direct lineage so outside of the king, the other nobles won’t accept him to be the next king, other kingdom won’t accept this either as this will mean the Holy kingdom will be too strong.
