What a tool. He knows who Riftan is and how strong he is, and the Maxie is a noblewoman. Even if he is a jerk, you’d think self-preservation would kick in. Guess that makes him a fool, too. Maybe he’ll learn next time if he’s lucky. Maybe next life it he isn’t.
