Riftan, you clueless fool. Your wife WANTS to help you. Let her. And pretty sure “I want nothing from you,” is not something a person who cares about you wants to hear. Especially when that person is specifically wanting to help you. Buy a vowel, you dense man.
You are doing better, Maxi. But you need to tell him how much his rejecting your help is bothering you, not just that you want to help.

Yeah, his answer is not a bad answer but considering who he’s speaking with, it’s a terrible answer.
He was speaking raw and unfiltered thoughts that he hopes she wouldn’t have a a care but she interpreted it as him viewing her as deadweight or an ornament.
would have been better off telling her something like just be herself or a good wife or just do what she can or whatever she wants to do/ makes her happy and he’ll support it as long as she doesn’t push herself too hard or endanger her life.
Let her study her magic and handle Anatol’s trade and socioeconomics, let her interact with the public and become the face of Anatol.
