He says he wants to be three levels ahead, but shouldn’t he already be three levels ahead since no one else has the ability to level up yet

If earth is going to become a zombie apocalypse and all the humans are forming gangs and killing each other. why not just move to his dimensional gate land?. Buy as much supplies as possible and move it over and just call it home.

idk, it might be good to have allies if you literally have a pocked dimension with land and stuff. i dont quite understand

Bruh. A head-“shot” with an indian club like that isn’t a small bruise you can quickly get up from.
Same with a proper slingshot. If it barely bruises (given he could still mobe his arm) its quite useless

can he use his gate to sever items?
he can probably test it with something of little significance like a pencil or spoon,
pass it halfway through the gate then close it. If it cuts it in half then he does have an offensive ability that would also be good for deterring close combat, you swing at him and you’ll lose your arm.
also, he clearly has an answer to projectiles and magic just let the gate swallow them, and if he can control where the gate opens and does it fast enough, he could actually counter by returning enemy attacks.
throw a fireball? catches it then reopens the gate and returns it.
fill a room with poison? filters air through gate.
no room to dodge? opens gate under his feet.
hostage or covert situation? drag others through the gate.
If author wanted, he could make him nearly invincible.
