First he let’s the gang who wanted to kidnap the girl go. Now he lets an enemy psyker go. If he refuses to kill enemies then just hide in your secret portal world and play single player
MC could just avoid there being a next time altogether and dump the body in the other dimension… instead he threw away revenge for one of his three buddies.
Going to come back as a much bigger issue that the MC has to deal with later.
