Didnt the knight recover the dagger lemlin lost being yoinked out the well? What good are those hunks or iron even

I don’t understand. Why did he go to that village? I mean, he risked his life to save that village. But that goes against what he’s been doing up until now. Which was surviving. I thought it was because there was some item he could get there, but in the end he didn’t get anything.
