This is so utterly stupid reasoning for the sake of story progression.
“Nobles will complain? Guess I have no choice.”
Who in their right mind thinks this is okay? What is wrong with Japanese writers?
What are they gonna do to an omnipotent hero that already got recognised by their superior?
But sure, hero plot involving children and the big bad noble that shows that not all nobles are useless, only the bad ones, incoming.
This is infuriating and I’m dropping this manga right this instant. Predictable and utter nonsense.
Not to mention the whole “hero without common sense and only pride” storyline is complete bullshit, too. I had hope when they clashed, but then the author just went with “…”. What kind of dialogue is this?
Just let the opposites clash mentally and be done with it. Let their opinions on the matter grow organically or let them reconcile. Its not that hard to write and i am no author. There is nothing to gain from silence, apart from showing that the author has no clue what he is doing and just wants to continue the story. It belittles the reader and spits on their characters’ developments.
