I just realized that he mighg be able to use other magic because of his connectionto mercedes
Until the reread i thought that the puppet thing was an emergency anti control spell or something like that that mercedes casted on the bloodline or something like that
But if it says that he needs to trace his origins than its prossible that he gets the cool looking eye stuff
