Uh… really? You were surprise that the strategist who is always by your father’s side, and was obviously suspicious last chapter was planning to give something dangerous to your father?
Also, good MC decided to investigate himself even when he was not told anything. But why wouldn’t that bodyguard not tell him anything? Really? Cause the FML said don’t even though it was dangerous, potentially threatening to the FML and clearly suspicious behavior, you still wouldn’t tell? You literally failed in your one job, to protect the girl, and you wouldn’t tell the man anything? I don’t know man, the author is dumbing the characters down in my opinion.
