Author could make such a good twist about it. Like ok, MC, you don’t have super strength. The virus just disabled limiters your brain puts on your muscles to avoid dmg. Every time you use extra power you risk dmg to your muscles, ripping tendons included. Then give MC really fast healing (I mean like week worth of healing in a day not in minutes). And whole learning how to use just enough strength to achieve goal and avoid dmg or get as little dmg could be an interesting premise.
