Erm actually, if the bonus damage at upgrade level 0 is 0 (ie. if you haven’t enhanced you equipment, you don’t get bonus damage), the bonus damage function can’t be exponential. To be really specific, an exponential function’s domain are the complex numbers, usually simplified to the real numbers. However, players can’t upgrade their gear to 1/2, 2/3, Pi, e, -2, etc. level. So the bonus damage function CANNOT be an exponential function because of it’s domain. At best, it can be geometric sequence, and sequences are technically defined as N->C functions, but even then IT CAN’T BE EXPONENTIAL BECAUSE f(0) IS NOT 1.

If each level increased the damage by 2^n-1 n being the reinforcement value for +1 it would be 2^1-1 so 2^0 which is +1 attack and for +2 it would be 2^2-1 being 2^1 which is +2 plus the +1 from the previous level so +99stick would be 2^0+2^1+2^2⋯2^98 or 1+2+4⋯+633825300114114700748351602688 which totals to +1267650600228229401496703205375 damage Now…
