Don’t be fooled by the comments below; people only said those things because there were only a few chapters out at the time. Yes, the girl on the cover is heavily sexualized by manhwa standards, but that doesn’t mean the story is bad. In fact, it’s a pretty unique Murim manhwa since the MC wants to rule the Central Plains through bankruptcy rather than the traditional way.All i want to say is that it’s good. While it might not be “peak” and there are better manhwas out there, it’s still highly enjoyable in its own way. This deserve atleast a 4.3 in my opinion.

What a shame.
What could’ve been a decent power fantasy with a fairly unique premise devolves into nonsensical yapping, shallow characters, shallow villains and obvious goonerbait all led around by a weird omnipotent caricature of a confucian gentleman.
From the first chapter it becomes clear that the author didn’t trust their story to capture an audience’s attention, so overcompensation of highly detailed full body shots of the trite female assistant must be employed — so detailed that she looks like she was copy-pasted from an entirely different genre.
If you fall for this, I pity you.

Mc is the strongest person, he wants to make enemies of almost everyone (we dont know why). He wants to be manager of bank in murim world.

Every huge clan is trassh, they like gambling, killing, they dont care about injustice and they treat each other like family, they trust each other. Very dumb

Pretty good for a slop manhua, I guess. The story elements designed to build up tension are such obvious retreads that you have to really want this to work to enjoy it. It’s masturbatory nonsense that left me irritated. Not sure why the comments are about the sexy assistant, she’s not shocking and she’s barely in it, anyway. Up to ch. 8, I’d skip but some will have fun.

Summary: Demon presented as The Confucian Gentleman is practically omnipotent but makes contracts with vulnerable people, then rewrites the contract so they couldn’t pay (unnecessary, they weren’t going to), then just takes what he wanted by force anyway. Repeat.
