Being a hero didn’t educate him in his first life. He was probably used as a puppet to get rid of the demon king, and the secretly removed by the higher ups without him second guessing.

His life as a sage, by all means, should’ve wisened him up. Considering he had to have studied a lot to learn magic and he also lived til an old age. But looking at this, he was probably a reclusive hermit that lived under a rock and was taken advantage of once again without knowing himself.

This is getting ridiculous. How could the MC not know that flight magic is not common?

You just have to observe the people around you to figure that out! I guess by his logic people are too lazy to fly, so that’s why they used tamed monsters instead….

Furthermore, wasn’t this established several chapters back that flight magic was legendary?

I’m getting the impression the author is running out of ideas to keep up the ‘ignorant on life’ trope going.

Also if the MC keeps getting money like that and doesn’t spend it, he will break the economy at some point.
