Для меня means “for me”. Note that Для means “for” while меня is “me” but it implies that there’s something directed at “me”. Here, it’s “for me”, a pointer. There could be action directed at this “me” as well, like баловать меня meaning “to pamper me”.

It means “Was a reward”.
Была means “was”, and refers to a “female”. Yep, the word for reward (награда) has a female gender in Russian.
