The part that said, “People that know the taste of honey and expected it should be resented”, is most likely a reference to the Holy Scriptures, specifically, The Book of Revelation 10:10, which says, “I then took the scroll from the hand of the angel, and I ate it completely. However, just as the angel had said to me, it was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but, it became bitter and unpleasant when it went into my stomach”. Now, to apply it to the part of the manga, it meant that people expect things to be sweet, but their greediness for things that seem sweet to them is bitterness after their greed eats of the things that seem sweet to them, but get bitter later on in the end.
