Some seriously illiterate comments in here, gave me a headache trying to read them.

Anyway, imo, this manga is pretty bad, and not because “teh mc is wik”, the realism around the MC is actually quite refreshing, in a way.
He knows what he wants, and he lives in a world where he has to put on some effort to get there. He’s not a generic shounen MC that just goes with the motions, only reacting, and never actively pursues anything. He’s a pretty solid MC (but got nothing on our boi Takeru from Muv Luv)

The issue with this manga, is the author.
The author is a woman who LOVES melodrama. If any situation can get worse, IT WILL. It’s one of those stories where the MC will never have anything nice, because the author thinks that’s more interesting, even though the first 30 or so chapters are overall pretty wholesome…And then it pulls a Madoka, and the author’s soap opera is revealed in waves. <_<

TLDR: Good wholesome start (kinda), good-okay MC (the characters feel like people, and not archtypes, at first), but devolves quickly into a soap opera old ladies would love.
Anything over the top = “juicy”.

It’s funny how things get rated differently on different platforms. This is higher rated on Mangadex, which seems to be more geared towards fans of Romcoms. On this site, you have a huge group of Isekai / Adventure fans. Here’s my thoughts on this manga. Yes, the MC comes across as weak. But that’s the trope. The whole, I’m at rock bottom, but attractive women are falling in love with me even. I don’t mind this read all that much. At least the MC is redeemable and not just liked because he’s the MC. But I mean, the guy has sex with one of them… So he’s not the typical dense MC that never goes further than misunderstandings. I dunno, I think the hate this is getting is a bit undeserved. I’ve read way worse Romcoms, with way weaker MC’s, that never do anything other than stutter and run away. It should be higher rated than it is IMO.

this is a bad choice fantasy trip, the author tried to make a bad choice the girls make to something somewhat wonderful thing. like the black haired lady leaving a stable job at a bank because she feels bad about her body and starts strip dancing to feel good about herself, like, I’m out of here.
