Dangerous Dungeon Escape isn’t bad, but it’s also not insanely good. As much as I hate comparing manwhas, since most of them are alike in one way or another, I could see this as being a carbon copy of The Newbie Is Too Strong. However, unlike said manwha, this manwha takes the trials a bit more on the serious + comedic side, and I’m more engaged with the characters. To note on the mc, he’s a muscle head at times, but also has his “brilliant” moments, which is a bit of inconsistent writing from the author. The detail I like about the most of this manwha would definitely be the streaming aspect. I often cringe when a chat is introduced since most of the time it takes away from the story and isn’t necessary. However, these viewers are pretty funny and dang close to ones we would actually see in a livestream: from simps to haters. Despite the good aspects, what really kills this manwha for more engagement would be the lack of backstory for the main character. Dangerous Dungeon Escape is the type of story where you learn the setting as the story progresses, which i don’t personally hate. However, nothing of the main character’s origin is really explained, and chapter 0, the supposed prologue, is confusing in itself. It’s an interesting concept that I would definitely give a shot since it is a bit different from other manwhas, but it is a concept we have seen done before.
