I read what was available at the time. It’s principally a comedy, very Chinese and not particularly clever. The comedy, while unoriginal, is up to standard for the tradition, and there’s no reason you couldn’t enjoy it. This would be much better if it were sexier or more romantic, either one, because the story revolves around a marriage relationship. Instead, it’s written like a buddy cop movie, a vaguely sad one. If you don’t have overly high expectations, this is a decent forced relationship comedy in a martial arts Chinese ghost story context, which is a surprisingly common story form.
