I’m re reading this because I forgot where I stopped reading last time and in case anyone wants spoiler about the kids, the reason is pretty sad,

This is vague recollection from back when I read it. mc had told her he’s leaving and didn’t know when he would be back. He said he would be back some day to learn the swordstyle. She was in love with him but couldn’t pursue it. So she thought next best thing would be to leave behind the best heir to the dojo she can so mc can learn the swordstyle whenever he returns. So she goes to the strongest swordsman she knows, you know who, and asks him to have babies with her that she can raise as heirs to the dojo. There was no adultery, it was deal made between them for the sake of mc who said it in passing. He feels guilty for not realising her suffering because of his words. I don’t remember the rest

Something tells me the peasants will survive without the influx of arrows and boulders flying into their village markets. And all those innocent slave traders would’ve been put out of their third mansions if those war slaves entered the market! How can you be so thoughtless?
