i think he sacrifice his friends (heros) to stop something stronger like Last Demon King (theory) and he must create from hero a demon king to stop this (and sacrifice heros who dont understand this that is only that option)

Everyone in the comments has some theory about an event that made the Hero of return evil, but If you think about the Hero of Return, whose ability is to reset each time he dies, might just want to die permanently and this is all a plan to die.
On I get it now he was basically bored of the.same thing so he kill the sword hero’s parents which caused him to go on a rampage and get where he’s at now but before his parents were alive and they all stopped the rampaging hero’s together

I fucking knew it. In the original timeline something happened that lead the return hero to the decision of making sword hero evil. We’re only seeing his timeline so he might possibly be the mc

honeslty right now I want the Sword hero to destroy everything, go back millions times doesnt matter, 1000 vs 1 Sword hero wins. Enough happy endings, I want a story ending after the heros tried everything but lost

Looks like were getting a backstory of Return maybe? We got rampaging heroes and group of good heroes Return is a part of in original timeline. I find it hard to believe creating a demon king and killing so many people is somehow the better option.
