This is run-of-the-mill, mass-produced garbage. The author doesn’t even pretend to have put in any effort to study the classics. This is the art equivalent of an office worker coming to clock in his 9 to 5, never getting any real work done, and waiting to get fired.

If he bothered to study a little, maybe he would know not to start a story midway, torturing the characters nobody gives a crap about. If you want to write a revenge story, at least develop the characters enough for the reader to feel sorry and root for them when they get wronged.

Speaking of developing characters, don’t count on that here – everybody is flatter than the sheet of paper this trash might have been printed on if it was not distributed digitally. Trauma from being tortured? Little hesitation before killing somebody, or at least cold-blooded apathy from killing over and over? Any traces of how people in real life behave? Nope.

Even the MC being forced to shag his sister would have been better writing at this point, because at least it would give the author SOMETHING to work with, a tiny bump in the endlessly flat, boring landscape of this manga.

There is a reason why a manga like Berserk will continue being remembered for the years to come, while this will be forgotten the moment you close the tab.
