This story leaves me so conflicted. It feels like he’s genuinely helping people at times, but then they always seem to turn evil after being helped.

So, since the Ox apparently does play an important part in the book, and she saw the ox as like a thing when she touched the book.. Does that mean basically the books are somewhat similar, but manipulated to be something kinda different? Like the little prince book had the prince or whatever, but it was still a demonic book to other people, so it doesn’t seem like a far fetch to me.
