Without reading ahead, it seems to me that “inky” is pulling all the strings while using the MC as his cover. I don’t think he helps everyone for no reason, I think he’s helped most people so far with the intention of starting his horrible cult. I think he helped the general guy with the hopes of getting the sword. I’m almost positive that “inky” is using his powers to influence the MC when he’s talking to his guests, based on the smiling shadow we see from time to time after he does his “soul healing.”
But the MC does not know anything about magic or his own books. He sees them as normal as from a world with no magic. And others can see. But ICANT HELP IT! ITSTOOOO GOOD
Does anybody else think that this reminds this of powerful SCPs? I mean it’s strange enough to be one.
