I’m going to take this as a positive sign the author is in the home stretch. Yes, we still get Kazuya mind-tripping how amazing Chizuru is (to be fair, I’m 28 years into marriage and still thing how amazingly lucky i am). But he didn’t get force-walked back by author. Chizaru is starting to face the fact she has to fish or cut bait, and has seen multiple times that he is the sort of man she might want to be with (especially since he is her grandfather on repeat).
And now Grand ma has appeared, called her for a rental date which means, its past time to either end the charade as a hard no or end it by making it real. Maybe 2024 will be the last year of the manga. I wouldn’t mind some actual time of them dating (we didnt get that in Girlfriend, Girlfriend for Shino and Milika), and a nice graduation story line, her first real movie gig and either their wedding or him ending up with Sumi. But keep it moving to the end now. No one wants to see Kazuya move out, get an apartment and returnt to pining for her every 2 panels.

Finally some progress on her side and some insight in her thoughts..
Despite the denial I do think she’s on her way to realise and accept her feelings.
Also I sure hope for some eyeopening questions and interrogation from grandma nagomi

Wow. Seems like the author got back on track for once. I like where this is now going.

It’s about time someone started asking some difficult questions. So far there has been too little reality and just a whole bunch of wallowing in neuroses.

Mami did and now Grandma Nagomi has done it. Chizuru might want to think about quitting after all. I got this feeling that Grandma is going to ask some really difficult and personal questions really soon.
