Summary
Briefly about Kieta Hatsukoi manga:
Aoki… I didn’t realise you thought about me like that… Aoki has a crush on Hashimoto, the girl in the seat next to him in class. But when he borrows her pencil eraser and sees she has written the name of another boy Ida on it, it becomes all the more confusing. In order not to make matters worse, Ida sees Aoki holding the eraser and misunderstands that Aoki has a crush on her.

I totally love this manga and I am reading it here before they sell it again on amazon, I am missing the last 3 books.
I cried a lot in certain part! But all good now.

This art reminds me of flowers of evil you probably don’t know what it is

My Review:
I really loved this manga.
It has 4 main characters which are absolutely AMAZING and UNBELIEVABLY LIKEABLE and very humane as well. They all have their flaws and that’s part of why they are such good characters, it’s like this in every single story you can imagine naturally! The story also contains a few nice side-characters which I always like; it’s honestly terrible if the story only is about the main characters, there is more in life than only love between two people ;D.
The story flows very well and the two couples have very natural progress. There are serious moments, there are funny moments, there are absolutely hilarious moments. It’s a nice balance between serious love stuff and funny happenings to me, an amazing love comedy!
One more thing before I crack on with the characters, is that the art of this manga is so. Damn. Good. It’s very unique and cute and the expressions and art of the characters is absolutely magnificent. I’m curious to see this person’s other works, after completing this one to be honest! Let’s now focus on every character in particular, without spoiling too much ;D
We have Aoki Souta. My absolute favorite character of them all. He’s just such a goofball and he’s so clumsy and a little dumb on the exact intelligence part, but he is very feeling and he can take things very seriously, in a good way. He’s very well written and all of his screentime was an absolute blast. His often gravely exaggrated facial expressions and actions are the best as well, it makes him even more lovable than he already is!
He is a cute, sensitive, funny goofball and has so much chemistry and synergy with Ida <3
Next we have our second introduced character; Hashimoto/Mio! She is incredibly cute and friendly and she might seem as a simple character at first. But she is another very well-written character, with complex feelings and thought processes. We get to explore her own love story in this manga too and it evolves really naturally. You can see herself change throughout the story as well, same with Aoki…
the characters have actual growth in personality and it’s quite amazing to witness as a reader. Hashimoto is an actual queen through the whole story; being very supportive for Aoki and being a good friend overall to everyone in her social circle. We love Hashimoto 😀
Then we have the “simple” Ida Kousuke, the second ML of this manga! I put simple between quotation marks because people might think he is a simple person, he just thinks differently than others. Sometimes he can be slow-witted but he just thinks things through! He shows his love differently than others but that doesn’t mean his feelings are less than others :). He might be quite different than Aoki, they match incredible well in my opinion.
Amazing synergy, those two. There is a little bit of drama sometimes but they solve it so well every time and it makes the relationship more satisfying to watch. It’s amazing seeing him figure out some exact things about being in a relationship and the ending is very satisfying, mainly thanks to him ;D
Then we have Akkun Aida! A really good friend but sometimes a tiny bit annoying. Throughout the story he evolves a lot and learns many things, and he is a great character overall. Not my personal favorite but still very likeable 😀
Welp I wrote way too much about this short little cute manga but yeah, then I come at its main con. It’s just very short :P. Not necessarily a bad thing but it does make the manga a little less “worthy” for a good grading because the story simply can’t evolve as much as some of the best romance manga out there (refering to Blue Flag for example). But it doesn’t feel rushed at all and has a nice ending so I’d recommend it to anyone, any time. (Anyone who is interested in romance manga at least, lol)
Good manga, 8,6/10.
