Is it just me or does the author have some REALLY deep seated dislike for men? Look at EVERY woman in this story, all of them are the way they are because of the men in their lives. Even the husband in this woman’s life was treated as extra baggage she just stayed with. Either all of the women are toxic, all of the men are a-holes or both. I get the feeling that the author tries to put it off as the latter.
Though, I guess that is a thing that has been going on in S Korea for a while. A lot of the women there are getting sick of the old social standards of, sit down, shut up, the man you are with/set up with is the center of your life. Give up your ambition and hopes, you are nothing but an ornament. Then, don’t get me started on the toxic wealth hierarchy that they have in the country.
