The crown prince in a story is NEVER good. Its like if you ever, in some universe, get isekaied- The crown prince is ALWAYS an a-hole. The second prince is always a good guy. The duke, if he is young is always a good guy IF it is for women. The duke is always a scheming bad guy if its made for guys. Duke’s sons go pretty much the same way, the dashing, quiet, sigma in women’s romance or the despotic, spoiled, enslaving womanizers in men’s stories. Other nobles include extra fodder and usually the protag’s family. The king and queen/emporer and emporess are toss ups. If the king/emperor is bad, they are really bad but a lot of times they can come off as cool dudes. The queen/empress is always harder to pin. She is either going to have you killed, works behind the scenes with the bad OR good guys, sits with the king/emperor, leads the country like a tyrant because of anime/manhwa monarch sickness or leads it like a saint.
