You know, it’s just hitting me now out of the blue, but what was the deal with that guy coming out of the Labyrinth in the first few chapters? Coming back and going crazy because he couldn’t believe that he was really on Earth? Was this just added to the Manhwa version to help the starting exposition/show off MC’s PvP skills? He should have been called back to Earth like all the others, right? Shouldn’t he have known what a sheeshow he’d be returning to?
Honestly i cant hate the guy. I think its a bit extreme here probably for story telling purposes but the idea of valuing your stronger players more is not an unreasonable approach. the solo mode players are mostly useless except for a few since the majority gave up, easy mode players get outscaled quickly. Normal mode can probably hold on a bit longer but it adds needed strength to scavenger parties.
Honestly make the majority of scavenger parties easy/normal mode players then add a couple hard modes to increase success rate and survivability and that’s not a bad idea. then when the attack comes you have a fully rested core of hard mode players to form the main strength of your defense. If food is too limited to supply everyone then you value your strongest first since they will do the higher portion of work in the defense.
Its not a pleasant situation where you can save and protect everyone. without the knowledge that the all powerful MC that has the strength of a hundred men is here to be the hero what else can you do but prioritize the limited resources to the best effect?
Of course this all assumes supplies are indeed too low to supply everyone.

Writing is on point! MC took his time to expose the dangers of staying weak as his main goal is to keep as many people as possible alive! this will give him authority and respect so the weak will actually listen to him when he tells them to get stronger

Death is practically letting them escape their consequences. And this guy doesn’t deserve death.
I guess the whole reason why MC allowed this is to show to everyone what happens if they just let things to be. They need to appreciate the next king.
