I really like the story, but this only works when a whole ton of chapters are released frequently, not 1 chapter a week at most.
This… is… crap… it wouldn’t be crap if the whole prison arch didn’t have 30 chapters of setup. We got 1 chapter for each day the King of War was in prison. Now it’s the trial, and… just wow… if this was say 15 chapters ago it would still be a shit chapter but tolerable. Now it just feels like a waste of time.
Sure they’re only digging themselves a deeper hole with each lie they tell, and their narrative is going to completely crumble when MC presents his evidence, but I’m surprised MC has such patience to sit quietly for so long while they slander him.
