Monstah monstar
Everybody run!
It’s J******!!!!!!!!!
In all seriousness, though, I watched the anime, and was very impressed.
My two favorite scenes were when his fiance said something disturbing while they were eating at a restaurant(somewhere in the first 3 episodes, I think), and that time the alcoholic saw the most beautiful glass of whiskey in the world(It was really well done. Watching it, I almost felt like I knew what it’s like to be an alcoholic).
Last I checked, the anime was on Netflix, and as others have said, other sites seem to have finished this.
I’ve heard people say that it was overly intellectual, but personally thought that the ethical questions were important to Dr. Tenma’s character, and will be shown as an integral part of who he is throughout the anime(I assume the manga is similar, but do not know), and I never felt that it distracted from the story.
I give the anime a solid 10/10, and I have not seen many that I enjoyed as much. While I cannot speak to the manga’s quality, I assume that it is also very good. I may post my thoughts on it here if I read it as well.
Monster explores questions regarding medical ethics, shows some of the worst horrors imaginable, and presents one of the most evil and well written serial killers that I have seen in any work of fiction.
I would rate the themes, plot and characters(in the anime) as excellent. While not relevant to the manga, I also thought that the music was a very good fit for this, and enjoyed the 2005ish animation. I don’t have any particularly serious criticisms of Monster, and would absolutely recommend this, especially if you are a fan of fiction that is more intellectual, and like the idea of something that explores a good doctor’s perspective of what it means to be a physician.
