I had never heard about this one before it showed up a couple of days before. It a decent Murim Manhwa. It’s on hiatus, but the arc came to a proper ending so it is wrll worth reading even if it is not coming back.

There is a part in the municipality ddle whete the translation is quite bad, but most of it is all right.

In this world the demon cult is bad, and the murim alliance is corrupt. There is a Phoenix and Dragon Tournament where everyone seems to expect to buy their way, or rather their disciples way to the podium. Some part of the plot is how the mc is navigating this, while having his a plan: to live in peace, quiet without a care in the world. To get there he think je needs to become a hero and let that give him a career in the Murim alliance and become one of the elders.

This came up in the top row on the front page. I was so excited for a minute. I wrote a review before, but I honestly don’t think it does justice for how much I enjoy this one.

It may not be SSS tier like Genius on Borrowed Time, but it is still pretty peak for me.

If you like murim stories, please take a chance with this one… Even if it may never come back. 🙁

Well, basicly Pokémon hunter Martial Edition.
In order to revenge, mc collect (gather) every best future martial artists in murim world, rather than being lone wolf, i mean it’s acceptable reason considering his goals and paths.

Mc smart, cunning and sometime heartless (i mean we’re talking about murim world) and gray character (ex-demonic living as righteous), have straight goal and so far he still stick on it (chapter 50).

Art decent, not flashy rather clear, story pacing is okay

7.7 or maybe 8 out of 10

But man, i dont even remember what MC name :gendo thinking: :hihi:

I really enjoyed this one. I’m hoping that it will come back from break. Sure the faces aren’t that beautiful but they are expressive and I can tell characters apart, which is nice.

It’s very run of the mill murim regression trope, but the main character has a fun goal (having lived a hard life in the Demon Sect as a high up squad leader, now wanting to become an elder in the Orthodox Alliance) and he ends up helping and doing good while getting closer to achieving his goals.

It’s not hilarious like Mount Hua, but it’s in the same kind of avenue of a main character who does what he wants. Like if Mount Hua and Heavenly Demon Regression adjacent.

I enjoy the fighting and the talk about martial arts in this one. It’s pretty simple and easy to understand, and the choreography is well drawn.

8/10 Will continue reading if it comes back.

Besides the ugly face art, this one is a solid 4.5+. There are some chapters youll want to skip if you’ve read 100+ of these murim novels like me, but overall the story is really good, and the MC isn’t afraid to kill people like the typical martial arts protagonists

Plot 8.5/10 (honestly simple yet Refreshing)
Uniqueness 7.5/10 (Not very “unique” but that doesn’t mean its bad far from it)
Onion Cutting Ninja, Might be Dangerous Next Season
Side Characters, 8.2/10 (Nice Grouping just wish some of them had more fleshing out which will probably be done in S2)
Side Character Development 8.5/10 (Characters grow and change)
Romance, uhhh maybe like in the future since its Shounen, but none atm more like small sprinkles
Art Style 8.6/10 (Solid and Good Looking
Fit tags? Mostly makes sense besides Fantasy just feeling off since this is a murim style
Violence, We have this
Comedy, It has a couple good moments that are funny
MC 7.5/10 (Standard hard life to Regression wanting easy life and then making friends and Family)
Action, We have this too
Villains, Oh look the Demon Factions back the Orthodox/Order ain’t much better Suprise Suprise
Plot Armor, No very prevalent as most events/Skills/training makes sense so that it doesn’t feel unnatural
Memorability, Very Refreshing as even though it may have several tropes it is just done well
Fights, Pretty neat actually
Depressing Backstory, it was awful my gosh
Regression, Yes and for a Murim that feels different usually its Reincarnation
Anti-Hero fits best I feel
Revenge Plot, bro wants to live in peace gotta wipe out the Demon Faction
Waifus, we have some fun ones that are around the MC mainly two
Background Art Style, Nothing out of the Ordinary
Character Art Style, Acceptable
Translation, Is mostly good and then for about 10-15 it goes out the window, but then it fixes itself
Mistakes, We have several during the 10-15 terrible translated Chapters, other than that its fine
How Dark is it? 2.5/5
Annoying Characters, The People who are always arrogant for like no reason XD
Tips: Slow Release is the biggest downside sometimes it goes fine for the month then it stops and starts at random times
Pacing, Good/ Might change Depending on S2 Pacing
MC Intellectual, He has the brain and the memory
Philosophical Depth, being lonely is Depressing find friends and Family and live for them.
Approximate Read time: no lifers 1-2 Days, Lifers 2-5 Days

This is really dope manhwa right here. the only problem is the slow release. last month was pretty good with 7 chapters in a month, lets see if we can keep that momentum rolling.
