Note to the translator, if you can explain easily the japanese idiom, then you should translate it to the english one that is closest to it : here, the carrot and the stick. Translators of Chinese comics love to let the Chinese idiom and not bother to try to give us the english one. I feel like it makes for a poor translation in the end, as I always ask myself : “why didnt the translator give us the English expression if they can explain it?”
