Man, it really is crazy seeing Luffy holding down an Admiral and a Gorosei and going “You don’t have my permission” cause… He’s an Emperor now, like, little ol’ Luffy D. Goofy, The Silly Ahh Nika. He’s got an Admiral sweating cause he knows the weight of those words. The Straw Hats, with a crew size of 10, have become so formidable that the world must either bend to their words, or muster all of its military force and brace for impact. One Piece has a slow pacing, but you just can’t get this emotional payoff without edging for 20+ years, gotta tell ya.
