Umm, for sure it’s better to keep it inside your head. Talk is FAR SLOWer than action. You say that verbally means your move paused for a really long time. This is the lost common sense in battle-themed comics, the time in the universe won’t be stopped to wait for you to end your speech. Esp in between movements, your opponent can do 100 moves while you yap.
