My review as of chapter 8
2 stars
A special case to be doing this so soon but man this is bad. It’s like it was written by a middle school student as a class project, a project that got a C, and they decided to try and continue it.
The Story. It’s…SO FAST. Their ideas about pacing themselves must come from Sonic because they have no idea when to slow down. Not to mention they have a bad habit of talking in circles. When your exposition starts repeating the same things over and over again, you might need to rewrite it. The only times you need to repeat exposition is if its either been too long or it’s used to convey a reaction from another character. I wont say none of the concepts aren’t good, the reason the hero left is actually a pretty neat setup but really needed to be dragged out more.
The Characters. They’re easily identifiable from each other and actually ack like normal people and actually seem to get some level of development, or at least some of them do. With the exception of the main villain and some of the side characters, most of them are decently written. The comic relief is cringe at best and the villain seems to have a very weak motivation.
The Art. While the character designs are pretty good, the background is practically nonexistent half the time. They have few establishing shots and when the action starts up it make it seem like no one moves from where they are while fighting. It just adds to the confusion of the fast pace of the manga.
Do I recommend this; No, but it has potential if they manage to slow down a bit. Some of the concepts are neat but most are lazily done or lost meaning with the fast pace of the story
yeah:
Godzilla had a stroke and frickin’ dies trying to read that description
Penguin-sama if you see this just know I’m a fan of your comments lol
I’m straight up confused and seems like a good manga with potential, so gonna give it a 8/10 for now
