O.O that is a genius level idea to use his powers to basically strick the free gold…as long as this world still has the free marine salvage laws we do. A very fun marine law to look into, makes the magnet fishers look like pure geniuses also. I specifically mean “The Law of Salvage” and “The Law of Finds” which have been around for a good chunk of the past century.

So yeah. Coming into chapter 76, it’s just like I feared. A lot of plot armor, villains have no personality besides being “the bad, evil guys who only think about power”. No one of these authors ever questions themselves how these people came into power in the first place. It’s just “they are the evil conservatives that the new guy needs to get rid off. Just slap all the bad stuff onto them and call it a day” not to mention nobody actually changes their behaviour or questions anything after a centuries old society gets flipped over. Whoever wrote these characters has a surface level of understanding people and their motivations, probably a shut-in that blames the world for their own shortcomings…
