The author got the quote wrong. The correct analogy/metaphor/quip is “You can wish in one hand and shit in the other, and tell me which one fills faster.”
Also, for the 1000th time, WELLS DIDN’T FORCE YOU TO DO ANYTHING. GAR were the ones forcing a healer to learn attack magic, Wells made some observations about how healing magic used in a different way could potentially cause health complications, and YOU CAME UP WITH THE ATTACK SPELLS ON YOUR OWN.
