To be fair, rule by committee never ends well. Even democracies still acknowledge the need for a head of state.

I can’t understand how they still want an alliance with a guy who can’t even share a hold of power.
think about it, they still consider themselves more powerfull than common men, they surely think that he’s the leader because he was a benevolent king and not because he knows about industrialisation.
and there, this guy, this insect, refuses to share power.
for all they know, he could have for sole objectif to gain the full control of the divine will and all of their material while avoiding any potential rebels against his order.
not that I want another go at the cycle of trust as we hade too much in this manhua, but logicaly, they should have ended the discussion when he refused to share.
