Summary
A brief description of the manhwa Respawn: Usurping The Imperial Throne With My Extra Live:
“No matter how many times I die, I promise that I’ll save you. With this ”
The Seventh Prince of the Amalthea Empire, Reidrick von Amalthea, laughed.
He had just received a report that his current political enemy was killed, though at the cost of the life of his body double, Ted Shinel. However, that brief moment of celebration had created a gap.
“Your role is finally over.”
The last thing Reidrick saw before dying was the face of his body double, Ted, who was supposed to have died in his place.
There existed a power different from martial arts and magic—it was a Miracle (Gift). Ted was also granted one such Miracle (Gift).
That ability was the [Extra Life System]. So long as he had lives remaining, he could revive as many times as he wanted—a power beyond comprehension.
Ted had hidden his special power, enduring various hardships, all for an opportunity… For the sake of killing Tithi Yuguwi, who had killed his friends from his hometown, and for the sake of his sister, Claire, who had been taken by the Empire.
He swore vengeance against the Empire, and to do that, Ted took on the prince’s role—all to usurp the throne.
To make full use of his [Extra Life System]… to seize the throne!

Cliche? Sure.
no context? Dude. It’s a story, you are meant to know things in a certain order and speculate on things that you don’t know yet. It’s how authors and artists create suspense and interaction with people. Keeps them coming back to read.
I’m sorry you have zero patience or critical thinking, but try sticking to mainstream power fantasies if you want stuff explicitly explained you.
There’s plenty of context. If you cant see that’s its your own fault.

It’s dogshit
Is good so far, D-bags review bomb as soon as anything new shows up. Sad.
This is manga not manhwa…. Is this hard to differentiate it? Manhwa has found their own art standard while manga has never changed with their doll-like art. From the language obviously different. And manga tend to use emoism/edgy cover just like this one.
Pretty good
Interesting description, title and cover. Though the rating being 2.9 is a bit too low when this is a very new Manhwa. Just saw this on Manganelo and there it didn’t even have Chapters yet. Who’s rating Manhwa’s so low when they’ve just been posted?
Person go boom

Listen… I like this, or I guess the idea of it
There is not much in terms of world building, like at all.
There aren’t that many character nor are they too deep.
The art is basic but not bad, however the story isn’t really all there.
But it may have some potential. I think that I like it because the MC uses a flintlock pistol in a world of magic. I really like that stuff, but he is the only one that uses it, the technology isn’t explained at all, and neither is anything else.
I want to like it, but I cannot recommend it, especially with the release schedule, I mean like what even is that
Like, he is in succession for the Imperial throne, ok. But we only see 3 people who are in contention of it, not to mention there is no explanation as to how the succession process works?
What is the scale of this Empire? Where/what are the vassal families? How much strength does this Empire have? Are there outside countries who view them as enemies?
None of these questions are even slightly answered.
