Secretly Cultivate For A Thousand Years - Chapter 208
Comments for chapter "Chapter 208"
The MC’s lack of moral objectivity disgusts me. But he is right about one thing, trying to make everyone stop cultivating is a pie in the sky goal. The monk should instead strengthen himself so he can protect those he cares about. That would be a much more sensible/obtainable goal. Unless he wants to try and oppress everyone else with power (bending their wills to his). But then he would be no different.
I’m dropping this here, I got irritated just reading the MC’s dribble.
nooo I catched up
Alright another life lesson young men.
- You can never force another person to change.
- Logic almost never changes someones mind.
- You can only change yourself
If you want to tell someone about your religion, beliefs whatever they maybe, first we must change ourselves. After changing ourselves to match our beliefs and follow them with conviction, only then have I really seen the people around you change. But if you change into something that is bad, bad things will follow and others will change for the worse. But if you change into something that is good, then good things will follow and the people around you will change for the better. This won’t change everyone to believe what you believe, but it will effect someone many times greater then learning what’s right and telling them what’s right, especially when we do many things that are wrong.
- Seek the truth and constantly put your ideas to the test.
- Never belittle another’s ideas, but first assume that they are right and you may be wrong.
- Be a man of your word. When you say something, you do it.
- Improve yourself in mind, body, and spirit.
- Love others as you would love yourself.
- Stand up for what you believe in. Not by throwing it into another’s face, but with a will of iron and don’t be swayed by anything. But be like the gladiator ready for death and unafraid.
This is how you change the world. This is the type of person who will be remembered by the people around him. This is a man who is able to change the world.
All we can do is be the best that we can be despite what others do. For we need to be the change that we wish to see in the world.
Look at the things I’ve personally seen people do.
- Man gets a Best Buy membership.
- Has friends scan it while he helps them by big ticket items and have a 6+ month return policy.
- When he goes on work trips, he buys a big screen TV, XBOX, and games from Best Buy.
- He returns them before he leaves
- A man buys a bag of dog food, a chair and mattress from Costco.
- He returns them when they are mostly used up for newer items.
- We implement laws forcing insurance companies to fix weather damage
- Companies go door to door to replace roofs claiming weather damage
- Man is happy to get a free roof
- Insurance company forces other men to replace roofs after 10 years because they are losing money
- Man switching insurance companies
- Man claims weather damage and gets a free roof
- Man goes to VA hospital claiming fictitious pain while on Active Duty
- He pays someone to get him 100% disability from the military
- This man never saw combat, he was never injured on Duty
- He now gets 5k / month tax free
I am certain many of us have seen corruption in different degrees but we are the problem and not others. I am what’s wrong with my country, you are what’s wrong with your country, and we are what’s wrong. We need to fix ourselves. And no one is perfect, so all of us need to focus on ways to fix ourselves in order to fix our countries.
How can we expect our politicians to not be corrupt when we the people are corrupt. This is the best mindset that I’ve found to have. This will allow us to constantly grow and become men who don’t grow old with regret, but are proud to tell our son and grandsons of the life we have lived. This man doesn’t fear death, for he lived his life instead of hiding in the shadows pointing fingers as he trembled. For the shadows darkness was great and this man changed no one in the world for the better.
Good luck young men. Go forth and conquer yourselves and become a man worth remembering.
The feeling is so strong for the little kid and her family
Deep.
People should be free to pursue their own ambitions.
No one has the right to force their views on others.
THIS WAS peak…….
Wow, profound.
its nice to live in the clouds but when brought back to reality its the strong who can create that idealistic world that he longs for and that road can be bloody…power can be good or evil it doesn’t discriminate, just what you do with that power is what matters
Bro I want to meet this author and the artist. This is so well made! I’m surprised this hasn’t been animated yet
It follows the principal that without capital, altruism is purely idealistic and not feasible. You can’t give to others what you don’t have. Beliefs with no power backing it are just dreams.
So in the end he don’t even believe of cultivation being evil he just blames everyone
Extremely well made
what a fine lecture the grandmaster has given us.
this is how the students of the great Greek philosophers must have felt

Die as an idealistic fool or live long enough to become a hypocriticle bastard
