That’s not what space looks like (or even can look like). (Outer) Space consists of a (whole) lot more (empty) space.

Look at ours. We still fairly close. Only 8 minutes, while Neptune is ~ 250 minutes from the sun (LLM math, but seems correct). The outer most edge of the solar system is around one lightyear.
And even from here, the sun looks fairly small. But the sun is/has ~ 99.9% of the mass of the whole system!

From that, I hope, you can derive how empty the system actually is.

And it gets less dense as you go bigger. Between those empty systems, there is even more empty space, making those systems basically the densests spots in the galaxy. With the empty space of several systems in between. And don’t get me talking about the empty space between galaxies.

If the sun was the size of a pea, there would only be a few atoms (which don’t even qualify as dust) representing the rest of the solar system. But stretched out over several football fields.

If you build a solar system model to scale with basketball sized sun, then Neptune is the next city over. If I remember correctly earth is a pea, and the famous asteroid belt is the amount of sugar cube and powdered sugar “smeared” over the whole orbit. And just the biggest ones are large enough to be represented even with one sugar molecule.

If you have two planets in one shot, and both are visible, then, at least, one can’t be seen bigger than a dot, but only if it’s an gas giant to begin with.

TLDR: Space is mind numbing fūcking huge. And as empty.
