Shinsu Jeil Sword

i understand why the rating is poor
1: story about murim. starts as a slice of life with MC not really OP but at the same time definitely not weak, from ch. 40 onwards.
2: power levels don’t really make sense. He receives a power up that makes him seem OP, but then there are others that receive unexplainable power ups too, and their fights drag out… a lot
3: MC hides both himself and his powers for no reason at all. I guess just to make everything less satisfying for the reader
4: the chaos are shorts, the fight drag out too much
5: there seem to be many missing pieces here and there, the story it’s not that hard to follow tho, even if you really don’t get the politics of it
6: yes, there is politics and schemes, not too complex but since they are drag out a lot, in chap 98 you forget what they said in chap 90, which is like… the same night as chap 98 (yeah… fights drag out a lot)
7: there is lack of epic moments, and it’s just slice of life. it becomes tiring watching MC restraining himself for no reason and readong 5 chapters of the same fights that could have ended in one OP move (he learns a set of OP moves but only uses them if he can’t beat his opponent with “beautiful swordmanship” or “shinsu jeil sword” (it’s not that good tho, artistically)
8: i hate the depiction of Cheon Ma and his Sun Cult, but that’s just a personal opinion

i think there is nothing major… but there are little problems that ruin it. Like the comment under mine “had potential, but just didn’t reach it honestly”, and i agree
