“Doesn’t mean a whole lot”? Not only was she the one who summoned him(she kinda is mom at that point) but she also only died cuz she wanted to get him an armor, and both knew that the kingdom was looking for.
Plus he wasted time training which lead to new save point. He could have saved her the whole time. And I dont wanna hear something like he didnt knew how many lives he got. He was completly ok wasting 3 to 4 lives tryin to kill the mercenaries and he knew he had the option to avoid them, but he was like fuck it I’m a regressor now.
Im really beginning to like the MC. I know he ain’t the hero of this story, but that didn’t stop Subaru from killing himself multiple times to make things right. I don’t even expect him to be a hero and save everyone, but at least protect the ones you promised.
He is like a surgeon looking at a dying patient, but instead of operating and saving the patient he rather starts reading a book about surgery to be a better surgeon in the future. And now he acts like he sad that the patient died.
Like save the one in front of you first, than you can bother about getting better.

if you read any other manga where the Mc has regression you would know thats a death flag or the Mc is bouta get plot armor (if it was a normal manga)
I don’t know why it’s a common notion to enter a spider cave/dungeon and not look up. From all the stories I’ve read about dungeon reading so far, none has even bothered to look up until its too late, or a split second from being too late.
Spiders are no insects though, Its a different class alltogether.
Our MC is not fast and not too bright. Sadly all the damsels around him seem to pay for his bone headedness.
