They need to have a re-shuffle of who does what. At the moment the Knights only do anything when the outer defences fail, at which point they might actually lower themselves to wave their swords around a bit to protect the Royals and Nobles.The King should send them out to guard the gates and outer defences so that an enemy won’t be able to get anywhere near the second defences in in the first place.
