Comments for chapter "Chapter 14.2"
So the idea that being her bodyguard and preventing the demon king from destroying all humanity is equal in importance to any one of the endless crowds she protects?
Each person’s life is their only life and therefore usually at least equally as precious to them as anyone else’s. However, this isn’t likely to be something she’s ever contemplated before (or even been emotionally aware of.) She probably lives in relative apathy, believing that no one who might die as a “Necessary Sacrifice” could possibly be important enough to worry about, at least not in comparison to herself. The pain and loss of those who knew and loved the people that had been abandoned to die in her place, wouldn’t be something she was in a position to understand either. After all, her upbringing insistently told her that ~the ends justify the means~, and that the greater good is and must always be the priority …and of course, her own life as “The Saintess” was always going to be defined as the greater good. A lovely, self-justifying bit of cyclical reasoning.
In other words, she’s an ignorant fool, but not in an unusual or surprising way. I don’t really blame her either; she’s been treated like she was genuinely more important than anyone else all her life, why wouldn’t she believe it to be true?
… and they’re dead. That was a good, but short story.
not to mention that if he becomes a royal guard his skills will become rusty
I’mma bet that the knight boy here is gonna end up a demon at some point cause his character is way to close to the old team mate
Sorry your majesty, bums on the street are as important as you are
What a whore I hope she dies and nothing happens
Why’s the other dude keep being an ass. He didn’t even help defending the city in the previous fight and now this? I bet he’s gonna be a pain in the ass in the coming chapters

Would people really get executed for vomiting in front of the royal family?
