my least favorite trope. multiple parts to villain fights that doesn’t end in the villains death. It wasted my time. If this doesn’t end with the mc having to go on the run or instantly being found by him and killed (assuming the dragon dude was simply sent back to the real world) I’ll be disappointed.

Just how well written is this? I would’ve been a bit disapointed if they had defeated him. That would be the “overpowered enemy, but plot armor kills it anyway” way, but that they couldn’t defeat him, a dragonic human, even with stat balancing and two sacrifices just perfectly shows that he is in fact an enemy out of the mc’s league.
