Its a shame that was so predictable, someone even said it in the comments a while back.
It just seemed to be a way to push jamie to become a demon. Although I suspect it will be temporary. As literally within the same day he is like ‘everyone together, this is better than it used to be!’ and then he 180s immediately when his dad dies, which also goes against his father’s last wishes.

I liked this and it was obvious that his father will die but this was so unnecessary I’m gonna drop this. Either Genis should’ve killed him when he was in his strong form or the father should’ve died later to like Ra or sm.

The dad already had massive death flags going in during the war, so I’m not surprised he died. What does annoy me is, in the situation he was in, there are plenty of ways he could’ve lived. He could’ve thrown the sword away if he had enough willpower. Why would he tell them to split up??

Chill guys! From what I observe, this will make Jamie fall into despair and become demonic, drown in sorrow. But the previous chapters stated that even with demonic power Jamie still can’t beat Ra. So, with the theme of happiness and family in this timeline, either Sarah or his mom, or both will make Jamie realise the value of family once again and gain control of his demonic nature, perhaps in the final arc, this will enable him to evolve further and surpass Ra
Completely unnecessary. I’m not against the father dying, but he was a superb character, and this just felt so forced. Have them get cocky and challenge Ra early and die there or something, zero reason for the most loser enemy that stuck around for far too long to just kill the father… and then die completely unsatisfyingly.
