The dad already had massive death flags going in during the war, so I’m not surprised he died. What does annoy me is, in the situation he was in, there are plenty of ways he could’ve lived. He could’ve thrown the sword away if he had enough willpower. Why would he tell them to split up??

So, with the theme of happiness and family in this timeline, either Sarah or his mom, or both will make Jamie realise the value of family once again and gain control of his demonic nature, perhaps in the final arc, this will enable him to evolve further and surpass Ra

this kind of twist makes no sense the main story is based on how he changes himself from the past life where he has not happy , he had no family etc. but he chaanged himself because of his current life ,because of his family and now he lost it then whats the point of this story where he follows the old path again??
This is BS and makes me think the author has nothing better to do with the side characters that made this series great. So many better ways to send out the dad if he really had to go:
- He defends the wife and daughter against an apostle with a brainwashed god touching down. You get to see his finishing moves. Jamie can deliver the final blow or whatever…
- He dies in the genus fight but as a swordsman equaling his son. One of those sacrificial moves. Hell, at that point it’d make the sh1tpile genus comeback have REAL impact when he breaks Jamie’s last resistance down.
But this is lazy AI hero glazing to make what author built up as an OP character “grow”.
