Ngl, I didn’t expect Anne to fail, I honestly thought she would take longer to learn that technique and at least understand what she needed to do. Since it’s basically an alternative way for those who has little mana of those that can’t use mana like other mages.
Simon on the other hand, I expected him to fail mainly because of the way Jamie explained it 
. But at the same time, I can see him also learning this as an alternative too.
